I enjoyed this piece from the PBS program “Latinos in America.”  It gave me more of a background as to the Cuban War of Independence, and about the intellectual Jose Marti who had an extraordinary life.
I also like the way this film highlighted Puerto Ricans migrations during and after the great depression.   Equally as interesting is the Mexican immigration and history in Los Angeles.  How they were targeted for repatriation by their barrios, and the color of their skin.  This was the largest repatriation in American history and violations of the rights of its citizens.
