The Farming of Bones is by far the best piece of writing that we have read this semester.
While I was unable to attend class tuesday, I have done my readings and find what everyone has said in relation to the book and what was discussed in class as very informative.
This book has made me think a little more into the different aspects of race more than the other books we have read this year. Also the symbolism used in this book are interesting. Such as when it comes to Parsley. This is a major piece of the book and helps shows the way the world was in the Dominican Republic.
And the fact that this is read as a novel allows you to connect better with the characters and allows readers to be more enticed with the story.
